Creating Scrolling Credits
The ProType Titler is incredibly powerful and flexible, but this help topic will show you how to quickly create a vertically scrolling credit roll.
-
Add the ProType Titler to a track.
-
Double-click the workspace to add a text block.
-
Type your text or credits, placing one name per line.
TIP You can also paste text from your clipboard. Plain text is added when you paste; fonts and styles are not supported.
-
Press Esc to exit text-edit mode. You can use the properties pane to edit text properties, character properties, and text block properties to refine the appearance of your credit roll.
TIP A credit roll will create a text block that's much taller than your workspace. Use the magnification and view toolbar to change the magnification level of the workspace.
-
In the automation controller/timeline, click to position the cursor at the beginning of the timeline.
-
Drag your text block to the bottom of the frame in the workspace.
-
Click the Transform tab in the Text Block Properties pane.
-
Select the Toggle Automation button
next to the Offset Y control.
-
In the automation controller/timeline, click to position the cursor at the end of the timeline.
-
Drag the Offset Y slider (or drag the text block in the workspace) to move the text block to the top of the frame. A keyframe is created.
-
You can use the preview toolbar to preview your credit roll.
