Creating a new project

The first step in creating your masterpiece is to create a VEGAS® Pro project file.

TIP You can quickly create a project by clicking the New button on the toolbar or pressing Ctrl+Shift+N. The project will use the default settings, but you can use the Project Properties dialog to edit the settings later. For more information, see Setting project properties

1. From the File menu, choose New. The New Project dialog is displayed.

2. Use the New Project dialog to set your project properties. For a detailed description of all the settings see below

   TIP Set the Start all new projects with these settings checkbox at the bottom of each tab to make the actual settings default.

3. Click OK to create the project.
