Copying and pasting or selectively pasting event attributes
Copying and pasting event attributes allows you to apply properties from one event to other events. You can copy and paste all the attributes of one event into another or you can choose which attributes to paste. The following attributes can be copied and pasted:
- Event switches
- Audio event pitch shift
- Video event playback rate and undersample rate
- Video event effects and effect keyframes
- Video event pan/crop settings
- Video event velocity envelopes
- Pre and post transitions
Copy and paste event attributes

Select the event from which you want to copy attributes.

From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

Select the event where you want to apply the copied attributes.

From the Edit menu, choose

Paste Event Attributes or
-
Selectively Paste Event Attributes to select particular attributes to paste, rather than all of them.

Check the dialog of any attribute you want to paste and click OK.

NOTE Copy, Paste and Selectively Paste Event Attributes commands are also available from the context menu and video event More button.
Pasting fade in/out attributes from one event to another

Add two video files to your timeline.

On the first video event, point to the top-left corner of the event.

When you see the pie-shaped Fade icon, drag the corner toward the middle of the event. This creates a fade in on the event.

In the same way, drag the top-right corner of the event toward the middle of the event to create a fade out.

Point to the edge of the fade in and when you see the Fade icon, right-click. From the context menu, select a different fade shape. Do the same for the fade out.

Right-click the event and choose Copy from the context menu.

Right-click the other event and choose Selectively Paste Attributes from the context menu.
The bottom of the list includes four options:

Pre transition type: defines the curve type of the fade in

Post transition type: defines the curve type of the fade out

Pre transition length: defines the length of the fade in

Post transition length: defines the length of the fade out

Select the checkbox for the attributes you want to copy to the new event and click OK.
