Import and organize media

To create your movies, it is necessary to import your media files, such as videos, images or audio files, into the project.

In this section, you will learn how to use the MediaPool to insert media, how to integrate stock content and how to import media from various recording devices. From cameras and audio recordings to screen recording, there are various options available for integrating your media.

Film exportieren (für Fortgeschrittene)

For example, if you need a high resolution or a higher frame rate, you should choose a file format that meets these requirements. Otherwise, problems such as delays, distortions or pixelation may occur in the finished video. It is therefore important that you are clear in advance about the requirements of your project and select the right file format.

In addition, it is important to understand that the quality of your media files has a big impact on the final quality of your video. For example, if you import media files of low quality, this can lead to blurred or pixelated videos, even if you carry out all the necessary editing. It is therefore advisable to use high-quality media files to ensure that your finished video has good picture and sound quality.

IMPORTANT If you import media to a project, Video deluxe must always have access to these files. This means that you cannot rename these files, e.g. in Windows Explorer or Media Pool, if they have already been imported because Video deluxe won't be able to find them. Renaming or relocating files can lead to error messages and you will have to specify the files and folders again.
