Getting started Video Pro X
This chapter gives you a brief introduction to the basic functions and features in Video Pro X. A more detailed description of the program functions can be found in the following chapters.

Before you start: Customizing the interface
Before you start working with Video Pro X, it's a good idea to customize the interface to your needs. There are two modes in the software: standard and basic.
Standard mode offers all program functions and is suitable for professional and advanced users.
Basic mode is designed for beginners and offers a simpler user interface with basic functions.
Step 1: Create a new project
To produce your own film in Video Pro X, you first need to create a new project.
Step 2: Select and import media
Before you can start editing your film, select the media you want to use and import it into the project.

Cutting and trimming video is a key step, since it lets you remove unwanted parts and tighten up your story.
