Adding a Freeze Frame at Cursor Position
Sometimes you might want a video to stop momentarily, e.g. for inserting a title or a special transition. To stop the motion quickly, use the Freeze Frame at Cursor command.
- Place the cursor where you want the freeze frame to occur.
-
Right click the video event and choose Insert/Remove Envelope | Freeze Frame at Cursor.
A velocity curve is added at the cursor position and the velocity is set to 0 which results in a still frame that is kept until the end of the video event.
The command is also available from the event's More button, so if you use this feature often, you can add a button on the event's header so you can create you freeze frames with one click.
. For more information on using the More button and menu, see Track List
- Place the cursor where you want the freeze frame to happen in all the events
- Ctrl+click each event to select multiple events.
- Right-click anyone of the selected events and choose Insert/Remove Envelope | Freeze Frame at Cursor.
